Ring ring, ring ring

Thanks to the joy of UPS having a Dundee delivery centre I had a parcel redelivered. This afternoon I had a call from our rather well natured security guys after it (they) turned up.




Following the bike that's the next most expensive purchase for the trip sorted out.



A pair of lovely metal mule panniers, and frame, and exhaust. Should help it look good and sound great on my way out and about.

Although I've had some great times on holiday and with visitors I now need to pull out the finger and get the bike run in. Got time yet...

New toy

It's cold. Kinda wet. I'm smiling though. The plans keep coming together and today's plan involved picking up my new friend from not so sunny Dundee. Here's a photo.

Meanwhile, if McDonalds would just bleedin serve me... I need to get back to work.

Moving Target

Its mid afternoon and as I scrabble to find a phone number my mobile phone rings. Its John Clark down in Dundee and I dont have to find that number any more.

Turns out everything is going well with my new best friend and on Friday Im due to go and collect him / her. Ive had a few bikes over this last few years and Ive enjoyed having them. The variety of moving from a ZX10 to ZZR1400 to R1200GS to F800GS has been fun but I get a distinct feeling that me and the 800 will get to know each other rather well over the next twelve months and twenty thousand miles.
